After last years USC game, the game where the trek to the visitor section for Cal required going through customs, it occured to me that one could do an interesting analysis of the various sizes and shapes of the Pac-10 stadium. The work is still in progress and this page will be filled out as it progresses. For now, here are two examples:
The first is a dotted-line outline of Memorial Stadium in Berkeley overlaid on top of satalite imagery of the LA Coliseum. Not that it needed any confirmation, but the closest seats that a Cal alum got to sit in at the Coliseum would be physically outside the confines of Memorial stadium.
The second is the outline of OSU's Reiser Stadium laid on top of Memorial stadium. I picked OSU because it is one of the smaller Pac-10 stadiums (Martin stadium, WSU's stadium, is so out in the middle of no where that it is hard to get good high resolution satalite imagery for it).
